This course is for anyone who is employed as a tiler who would like to develop their skills and knowledge to become a qualified wall and floor tiler. Experienced tilers can complete a fast track Apprenticeship framework in order to gain fully qualified status. This will be dependent on existing skills and knowledge.

About this course
You should have two GCSEs at grade D, or a relevant Level 1 Qualification and you must be employed in the industry.

What will I study on the course?
On your duration of the course you will study:
- Health and safety
- Communication
- Prepare background for tiling
- Erect and dismantle working platforms
- Setting out for tiling installation
- Preparation of background surfaces
- How to position and finish wall and floor tiles to surfaces
- Repair and maintain wall and floor tiling
- Lay screeing and self-level for floor tiling
- What adhesives to use.
This course is ideal if you would like to develop both the skills and knowledge to become a wall and floor tiler. These can be used in general Domestic House projects.
You may also be required to attend functional skills in Maths and English depending on each learners' individual previous qualifications.
