GCSE Photography. A grasp of basic techniques is expected though not essential. Applications will be especially welcome from mature students.
Extras required: Film, photography paper, workbooks at approximately £45. You should have access to a 35mm SLR camera.

Where will it take me? You may progress to GCE A2 Photography to complete the full A Level.
What's it all about? This is the 1st year of the full A Level Photography course. You should ideally be familiar with SLR camera techniques e.g. exposure control and composition. Black and white printing and digital imaging will also be covered.
How will I be assessed? Assessment will be based on coursework, portfolio images and notes based on set themes. Coursework assignments give the opportunity for photographic research, work on personal ideas and approaches within conventional themes.
