Arabic Language Acquisition

By the end of any of the Arabic courses listed above, the objective is to enable learner to progress & increase her//his ability in speaking, listening, reading & writing. Furthermore, to be aware of cultural aspects of social interaction in the Arab world, be familiar with some of the differences between classical (Modern Standard Arabic) and spoken Arabic. Learner is able to talk about oneself. Have mastered the Arabic alphabet and sound system, be able to distinguish and pronounce all Arabic sounds, and write accurately from dictation; Furthermore, on another level, as learner progresses, she/he comprehends Arab natives while they speak, Later learner can her/his ideas. Learner's ability to acquire a better grasp of the language whether her/his level be beginners, intermediate & advanced. Advanced courses aim to assist learner in writing simple or complex sentences on different topics; Comprehending audio/video material on different topics, Understands Arabic syntax, whether basic or complex.

The status of Arabic language, First, Arabic is one of the world’s major languages with over 420 million people in various Arab countries who use it as a mother tongue. It is the official or co-official language of all the Arabic World countries. Second, Arabic is also an important language in many countries bordering on the Arab world like Mali, Chad, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Somalia. There are also Arabic-speaking populations in parts of southern Turkey and southwestern Iran. It ranks fifth in the world’s most widely spoken languages and is an official language of the United Nations. Third, many people learn the language to learn about the cradle of civilization. The origin of the Abrahamic religions. The Arab world is extremely rich with archeological sites, historical events, religious sites, and has a wealth of artistic, cultural and human heritage that makes it very important to learn the language of the region and explore it (e.g. Sumerians, Assyrians, Pharaohs, Romans, Greeks, Copts, Muslims and Turks left their monuments) Arabic is as learning any language. Arabic is the gate to the Islamic & Middle Eastern Culture.Modern Standard Arabic is the literary language of today’s books, media, and formal communication throughout the Arab world. In addition, The Arabic world is a large marketplace with thousands of opportunities. However, for you to make an effective business relationship with Arab countries, you will need to know their culture and language. The economy in the Middle East is growing and Arab business culture is all about personal relationships.
