• Understand and carry out identification, planting and establishment of trees and shrubs for forestry and arboriculture

• Undertake and review work related experience in land-based industries

• Operate, maintain and understand the principles of forestry and arboricultural machinery

• Undertake tree and shrub pruning and maintenance

• Undertake advanced arboricultural practices
• Manage heritage gardens and arboreta
