"A profession more and more in vogue in recent years, of which little is still known but which is occupying a very important role in what, to all intents and purposes, are considered as new jobs: we are talking about the arborist. The arborist - or tree climbing - is an expert in tree health, who, thanks to pruning, care and felling, takes care of them in the best possible way. The characteristics of an arborist are many, and among these there is that of literally climbing shrubs. Let's see together in this PG Casa article what an arborist does, how to become one and all the curiosities related to this new green job. The work of arborist originates in the United States from the need to get to treat sick trees or to prune trees placed in positions considered difficult. The work of the arborist is to reach the shrub where machinery is impossible, such as near houses or in gardens and districts. This work is considered more ethical towards the environment, precisely because it reduces the use of potentially polluting and harmful machines. The arborist is certainly a profession that cannot be improvised. In addition to adequate preparation and physical prowess, the arborist can operate only after having obtained the appropriate certificate attesting to his skills. The tree climber must always have the right harnesses, carabiners, ropes and everything else needed to climb trees at hand. Obviously the arborist must guarantee his client to work in maximum safety, taking advantage of all the necessary equipment. Once the arborist has reached the tree, he makes sure of its state of health and proceeds with cutting the crown where required. He uses shears, chainsaws and other tools of the trade, mastering the technique thanks to the skills gained in the appropriate tree climbing courses.
