Students will also gain an understanding of managerial issues within the built environment and the framework in which architectural engineers function. The MEng programme provides a deeper knowledge and broadens understanding of management issues and problem solving within industry. Students will complete a 12-week industrial placement in semester 1 of Year 5. Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Building Design Our Architectural Engineering programmes are delivered by the Royal Academy of Engineering Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Building Design. This is one of four such Centres established at UK universities that jointly form a national network to demonstrate and exchange best practice in teaching and research for the sustainable built environment. The Centre also ensures graduates of Architectural Engineering will be used to working within an inter-disciplinary environment involving architecture, engineering and construction.AccreditationBoth the BEng and the MEng programmes are accredited by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Energy Institute (EI).
