Course programme
Finish 2:00pm Sunday 28th September
A great opportunity to learn about 10 essential oils - samples of essential oils sources will be shown e.g. Frankicense resin, citrus fruits and plants. This can be a 'hands on' event and participants will be shown how to give a hand and arm massage, then the opportunity to partner up and try it out.
Learn how to give a basic back massage using essential oils, and how to give an Indian Head massage. Detailed notes and instructions will be given to each student, and the practicals will be well supported by Julia so that everyone achieves success. There will be option for students to have a go mixing up creams and lotions for themselves. Please note that there will be a small charge for this on the day.
PLEASE BRING WITH YOU:-
•One pillow with OLD pillowcases
•A large bath towel or bathsheet to wrap yourself in for the full body massage and another smaller towel which will cover both legs. (This technique requires the removal of garments above the waist, it is however, very discrete and no-one need worry about embarrassment)
•Comfortable, easy to remove clothing, or a dressing gown, comfy shoes or slippers
•A hairbrush and comb – the Indian head massage disturbs the hair
•Paper and pen for any additional notes people may wish to make
•For people with long hair a clip or elastic band to hold it out the way for the full body treatment
•Short finger nails are preferable
•Please leave expensive jewellery at home. Jewellery has to be removed when working
Equipment needed, and advice for students.
Two old bath towels.
Comfortable clothes, the foot massage will require either removal or rolling up of trousers, and tucking up or removal of longer skirts. Students use one bath towel to cover themselves and the other rolled up to support their feet. The Head massage is easier to give and receive if upper clothing is of a teeshirt type fabric.
Please leave expensive jewellery at home, it is removed when working.
All other equipment will be supplied by the tutor and there will be no extra cost for materials used on the course.
Students with long hair might need something to tie it up with for back massage.
All materials will be supplied at no extra cost.
