About this course

If you feel one day is not enough training, you are able to come back to repeat the course again free of charge within 6 months when spaces are available with the same tutor. However, due to small classes and the 1-1 attention you receive this is rare but for your piece of mind available if required.

Anyone over the age of 16 may attend this one day diploma workshop No written exam – just a practical assessment whilst you work during the day If you choose to attend a workshop rather than an accredited diploma course please be aware this is for use with family and friends only. You will receive an attendance certificate but this does not cover you by insurance, if you wish to work with the general public you will need to consider a diploma course rather than a workshop.

Certificates are given on the day on the completion of a successful practical assessment with your tutor.

Aromatic plants and oils have been used for thousands of years, principally in incense and perfumes and for religious, medical and culinary purposes. Numerous ancient civilisations including the Egyptians used them and they are also mentioned in Vedic Indian literature and in the Chinese Yellow Emperor’s book of internal medicine dating from around 2000 BC.

Today they are used extensively in the cosmetic and food industries, both for their aromas and as flavouring. The essential oils have many therapeutic properties that can assist the body with a variety of ailments, they are readily absorbed through the skin where their biological and pharmacological compounds can affect the body.

Essential oils are highly concentrated oils from raw plant material, including seeds, bark, leaves, wood, roots, fruit and peel. They are highly volatile and must be used with care and ALWAYS diluted; however they have many therapeutic uses. Essential oils can be used to help with many common ailments and reduce the need for taking pain killers and other over the counter medicines.

Learn How to Combine Essentials Oils and Make a Personalised Blend for Yourself or Friends and Family.

This workshop will teach you how by using essential oils you can:

  • Blend your own facial oil, for mature, dry skin/ problem skin etc
  • Create your own clay mask for your particular skin type
