What will I study?
AS and A Level: You will be involved in a range of practical activities including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media. All coursework units and the externally set assignment involve historical and contextual research, which influences and informs your own work.

Duration:
One year to complete AS and a further year to complete A2.

Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
Both AS and A Level are assessed as two units throughout the year. These are internally marked and externally moderated. A Level includes an in depth, written communication response within the coursework and an externally set assignment.

How will I be assessed?
Many students go on to Pre-Degree Foundation Art and Design courses before specialisation in BA Degree courses such as: Graphic Design, 3D Design, Film and Photography, Fine Art Surface Design, Textile Design and Fashion Design. Some students apply directly for BA Degree courses in Architecture or Combined Arts (e.g. English and Art). Other students just find the A Level course useful in broadening their visual outlook on the world around them.

What can I do afterwards?

Are there any additional costs involved?
Materials £60 for AS, £60 for A Level. London gallery visits £20 per year.
