Classes Overview

• Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
• Classes available: Oil painting, Acrylic Pianting, Watercolour Painting, Mixed Media Collage, Observational Drawing, Life drawing, Expressive Drawing, Batik, Printmaking, Manga, Illustration, Animation, Hat making, Silk painting, Digital art, Graphic design, Costume design, Embroidery, Lace making, Knitting, Card making, Tie dying, Jewellery making. Classes are not prescriptive, just discuss with the tutors what you want to learn and they will teach you.
• Entry Requirements: 16 years or over - No previous art or design qualifications required. Desire to be creative and learn.
• Part-time classes: available all year around - limited places - enroling now
• Requirements: broadband connection / art materials
• Progression: to Level 2 Certificate in Art & Design
• Tuition: Unlimited one to one face to face tuition and written feedback as your work develops

How It Works

You will receive access to your own online studio where you can work with your own personal tutor to achieve your aims. Classes are not prescriptive, just discuss with your tutor what you want to learn and they will teach you. You will receive access to specific learning resources including step by step tutorials, videos, exemplar materials and worksheets. You will receive expert one to one, face to face tuition at times that suit you and your tutor. Photographs of your' completed and in-progress artwork are uploaded to your college e portfolio for constructive, friendly written feedback on how to progress. Additionally you will receive regular on demand face to face verbal feedback, encouragement and support. You will also benefit from relationships with your fellow online students as you can view profiles and comment on each others' art work if you wish.
