What I would highlight:
I didn't have any expectations of the course, I just wanted to improve my skills and enjoy it! But it was a lot of fun :) It was amazing working with the animated film team. And the equipment was very good. Since I was a kid I wanted to do this, it is a dream came true.
What could be improved:

What I would highlight:
My experience was magical. Everything was perfect! The tutor, the group, everything! The course was super interesting and useful. I wanted to do this course before applying to uni just to work on my skills. I think is great to have the opportunity to explore a lot of different creative areas.

What I would highlight:
I definitely see my drawing improved as I have been working a lot on my sketchbooks. Happily, I have been accepted for BA (Hons) Fashion whilst being here! My advice to future summer students? Be ready to listen to your tutors and open your mind!

I loved the workshops on special effects/zombie style makeup. I’m really pleased with everything I achieved on the course, my skills have definitely improved and I also understand more about design.

What I would highlight:
My favourite part of the course has been the design of magazine covers and the fact that we could used music videos as an inspiration. Loved that we have been able to theme our projects on our hobbies.

I had some doubts before joining the university this summer. I wasn’t sure what it would be like and whether I would fit in. The most incredible thing has been sharing with people from around the world. I’ve made loads of friends and also shown me how much you can learn from other people.

I’ve learnt a lot the last weeks. Having all of the make-up looks recorded in the photoshoot was fantastic. I’d recommend coming to AUB during the summer to anyone who wants to develop a career in creative subjects.

What I would highlight:
The directing workshops were the best. My real passion is being behind the camera. All things considered, I think understanding all the roles that goes into making a film was the biggest lesson of this course. Also, now I have a real appreciation of various aspects such as sound and cinematography.

Loved the fashion approach this course does. It was very practical, which was a good contrast to the initial course. It’s been my first time in Bournemouth and I really love it – there are a lot to do and the beaches are lovely.

Practical Filmmaking Summer Course

What I would highlight:
I think 90% of the stuff taught to me on the AUB summer course was totally new for me even though I have recently studied Film Making in other UK college. Got different insights of the processes of filmmaking, rather than learning about them in isolation. The tutors were truly professionals –they have acted in, produced or directed all sorts of films and TV parts. It’s very important to have people teaching who has worked in the film industry. Thumbs up!
