'AS' and 'A2' Level Business Studies

Duration: AS 1 year, A2 2 years
Course Level: Level 3
This course is designed to give students a critical understanding of organisations, their markets and their external environment. It provides a valuable insight into all financial aspects of commercial and non commercial organisations.

What will I study?
The AS Level examines the challenges and issues of starting a new business through the key functions of marketing, finance operations and people.
The A2 Level looks at the bigger picture including; strategic issues, change management and the external environment.
This course may not necessarily produce successful entrepreneurs but it will provide students with a sound knowledge and theoretical understanding of business behaviour, as well as equipping them with decision-making techniques and encouraging them to think critically about business activity.

What next?
Students who successfully complete this course may choose to go on to Higher Education or seek employment at an appropriate level.
