'AS' and 'A2' Level Physics

Course Level: Level 3
Physics is the study of the properties and interactions of matter and energy. Our understanding of many features of the everyday world relies on knowledge drawn from the ideas and methods of Physics. In
this course the basic principles of Physics are introduced and, through example, placed in the context of the world in which Physics is used.

What will I study?
Students will be considering the different scales of Physicists' interests, from planets to atoms.

What next?
With a qualification in one or more of the Sciences you could go on to a further or higher education course in one of your subjects or, with a suitable combination of subjects, courses such as Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and Environmental Science are possible. Alternatively, students are well-equipped to pursue careers in science-based industry or business.
