Assessment
The AS level includes two units, one of which is assessed through coursework, the other assessed as an examination.
Unit 1 covers the Study of Post-1900 poetry and contemporary drama since 1990.
Unit 2 is a coursework unit which includes a study of novels, and provides opportunity for creative writing.
Progression Opportunities
You may go on to study English Literature as a single honours subject or in combination with a related subject such as Media, Journalism or Theatre Studies. You will also acquire interpersonal skills which will equip you for a variety of careers where teamwork and social interaction are key qualities.
