2. Course description Film is one of the most important forms of art and mass communication today. You will focus on how film's images and sounds create detailed meanings for its audiences. You will develop skills which will enable you to discuss this process in a critical and informed manner. The course also looks at the film industry and its development as: a business; a major form of entertainment; and a cultural product which affects society. You will also have the opportunity to take part in practical scripting and storyboarding work relative to the theory of film form and narrative.
