2. Course description The course studies the main institutions of UK Government and the key challenges which the Government faces today. Politics affects everything we do. If you are fascinated by the way decision are made, by whom and the thinking behind them, then this subject is for you. You will explore many of the key issues which shape this country -the changes in the labour party with Corbyn, and controversy over Civil liberties and the threat of ISIS. These issues are constantly in the press, and on TV news. You will have ample opportunity to debate current issues, and by the end of the course you will feel confident to discuss them, and have a good understanding of news and current affairs items.
