2. Course description Sociology is the study of how people create society through their relationships, and the ways in which society shapes people's behaviour and ideas. You will examine topics such as education, crime and deviance and religion, and ideas such as power, identity, socialisation and social control. You will be questioning so-called `taken-for-granted' views of society and individuals.
