3. Entry requirements You must have a grade C or above in GCSE English, and preferably in Art, Textiles or DT (textiles). If you have not taken Textiles or Art at GCSE, you should have a comprehensive portfolio, or examples of work you have done. Our Art tutors can then advise you on your suitability for the A Level course. You should have an enthusiasm for researching new topics, an inquiring mind and a willingness to take responsibility for your own learning as the course is designed to encourage these skills. You should demonstrate a keen interest in, and an enjoyment of, textile art or textiles, fashion, craft and design, and a high level of commitment and enthusiasm is essential.
