- Analysing public performances - there will be several group theatre visits during the course

- Learning about the work of key theatrical practitioners and their influence on modern theatre
- 40% of the course is practical. You will have to demonstrate individual skill in, for example, acting, and work as part of a group to present an extract from a published play
- You submit a written portfolio reflecting on the process
- One written examination unit in first year
- One written examination unit in second year
- A University or drama school course in Theatre Studies
- A career in the Theatre, although Theatre Studies develops interpersonal and organisational skills which are relevant to success in most careers
