Why should I choose this course?

What does the course consist of?
  • A Single Award (equivalent to one AS or A-level) or a Double Award (equivalent to two AS or A-levels). The Double Award offers a more specialised course, while the single award is a valuable addition to an AS/A-level programme, offering breadth and variety
  • Finding out about the places tourists go to and how the travel and tourism industry operates, including customer service and marketing
  • The opportunity to take part in field visits to destinations such as Blackpool, York, Barcelona and New York
  • For some students, a 10-week paid work placement will be available at the end of the second year. This will take place in a hotel in Spain

  • Two-thirds of the course is assessed by coursework
  • One-third is assessed by an end of year exam
