Course programme
Successful completion of your individualised learning journey will allow you to progress to other courses at the college, to develop new skills for independence and/or move towards gaining supported employment/voluntary work.
You will be assessed through a transition and induction programme which will ensure that you develop your communication, social, independence, reading, writing and numeracy skills at an appropriate level. There are no specific entry requirements for this programme and your individual learning plan will be developed to ensure that you achieve your goals. Please note that entry criteria may vary and this will be assessed by your tutors. For this course you are likely to be working towards Entry Level 2.
In addition to the entry qualifications listed, the offer of a place on the course is subject to the outcomes of initial assessment, which will be taken at the College as part of the admissions process. Please note that entry criteria may vary quite significantly between courses at the same level. This is to take account of the specific skills needed for success on particular courses, the length of the course and the requirements for progression to the next level. Entry criteria are given as a guide, and the exact requirements in order to obtain a place on a particular course will be confirmed following attendance at a Welcome Event/Interview.
