ASSISTING THE ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION
Course Content & Certificate
This course is suitable for carers who assist in the administration of medication to individuals and/or during “drug rounds” within the care setting. The carer will always work with a member of staff responsible for leading the procedure.
Content: relevant staff - equipment and methods - standard precautions and safety measures - legal requirements and codes of practice
Successful completion of the course gives a Training for Care Certificate of
Attendance.
Tutors and Teaching
Muriel Hood RGN. Muriel has over 20 years experience in nursing, working in both social care and health care and with a wide range of clients including older people and children with additional needs. She has a keen interest in skills development and is responsible for care assistant training in her current position.
Teaching is participative, with plenty of opportunities to discuss course related issues arising from your work.
