This course provides an overview of many AutoCAD Electrical 2010 utilities designed to enable users to quickly create and manage electrical-controls production drawings. Users focus on how to build intelligent ladder diagrams and panel layouts, and how to leverage the intelligence built into AutoCAD Electrical. Suitable for: Electrical Engineers who have good understanding of the electrical design process.

Introduction
This course teaches the production of Electrical Schematic Drawing, Terminal Plan Drawing, Bill of Materials in various formats, Connection List reports, and other associated reports using AutoCAD Electrical. We work up at least one project from a blank starting point, and include during this project the generation of new symbol elements. It is entirely practical, with a hands-on-approach and you will have your own professional CAD computer. You will be given your own bound set of course notes, which includes a reference guide.

- Overview of PC and Directory Structure Overview of screen layout including toolbars etc
- Starting a new project, including look at project record card's defining numbering and cross referencing formula's
- Starting a New drawing, including look at drawing record card's defining drawing type, and revision history
- Defining Installation and Location
- Drawing Single phase and multi- phase wires
- Insertion of symbols and Function of components, including numbering of wires / components
- Setting and numbering of terminals
- Cross referencing of components and equipotentials
- Manipulation of the Terminal Plan
- Assigning catalogue and record information to items in the projects, including creating new record / catalogues
- Creating a panel layout
- Creating and testing new symbols
- Customizing Titleboxes.
- Viewing some of the reports generated by AutoCAD Electrical
