The aim of the Emergency Responder course is to enable candidates, with proven prior knowledge and experience in basic life support, to deliver the safe application of automated external defibrillation (AED); the ER+ has the additional application of facemask and supplementary oxygen. Suitable for: Our courses are ideal for employers wishing to equip their staff with basic to advanced first aid and safety skills. We currently train rescue personnel, school teachers, publicans, youth leaders, retail workers and office workers with all courses being approved by a National Governing Body.

Emergency Responder
The aim of the Emergency Responder course is to enable candidates, with proven prior knowledge and experience in basic life support, to deliver the safe application of automated external defibrillation (AED); the ER+ has the additional application of facemask and supplementary oxygen. A maximum number of 6 candidates per course may participate. Evidence of Competence To successfully complete the Emergency Responders module the candidate will need to satisfy the following:
Prior Knowledge
- The ER is only open to candidates who have knowledge and experience of basic life support techniques. Before starting the ER course all candidates will be required to demonstrate CPR to the standards as set out by the European Resuscitation Council. Candidates who fail this test will not be permitted to continue the course. They will not be entitled to a repayment of the registration fee and will need to refer to the conditions laid down by the course organiser for course fees.
- Demonstrate the ability to carry out the practical skills as defined in the syllabus.
- Satisfactorily complete the training manual. Re-Validation
- The ER is valid for 1 year only
- A re-validation fee is payable. To be successful in the Emergency Responders + [ER+] the candidate will need to satisfy the following:
- Successfully complete the ER module.
- Attend an additional two hours of instruction.
- Demonstrate the ability to carry out the practical skills as defined in the syllabus.
- Satisfactorily complete a worksheet.
