You will spend two days a week in the classroom and one day a week based at Birmingham Airport. Topics include the UK aviation industry, health and safety, security, aviation geography and terminology, handling air passengers, onboard passenger operations, aircraft dispatch and team leadership.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English or Maths. Alternatively you will need a Level 2 Travel and Tourism qualification with a Merit grade and Functional Skills English or Maths. A positive School reference with good levels of attendance and punctuality will also be required.
Delivery and Assessment
Our programme is 100% course work and you will complete practical projects, presentations, reports and a portfolio. The course work will be completed both individually and in groups to help develop team working skills.
Progression
On completion of the Subsidiary Diploma you have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Operations. Alternatively, you may wish to consider a career within the Aviaiton industry working as a Passenger Service Agent at any International Airport.
