Most probably each of you can replace a light bulb. But have you ever though about what type of light bulbs are installed in the airplane cabin or its exterior? The complex aircraft electric, electricity and digital systems developed by avionics specialists help the aviator.

The word "Avionics" literally means "electronics" that is used in aviation. If in childhood you were fond of disassembling and repairing inoperable radio receivers or defective electric kettles, or were trying to learn computer programming, but, at the same time, were fascinated by the sight of plains flying high in the sky, this study programme is right for you!

Avionics specialists are responsible for electro-mechanic, electric, digital aircraft systems performance and various readjustments. Besides that, they are also developers of new solutions for aircraft electronic and automated systems as well as their functional devices.

The study programme introduces students to the most recent aircraft electric and electronic engineering technologies, aircraft automation development trends, electric and automated systems design principles. In addition, the programme provides knowledge of information technologies, data processing, automated design equipment.

In the course of Aviation electronic systems studies students gain knowledge about aircraft technologies, air traffic control and airport equipment, technical maintenance of systems, management processes, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) requirements.

In the course of Unmanned aerial vehicles engineering studies students are introduced to the most recent aviation technologies and unmanned aerial vehicles design, control/operation, production technologies and system coordination, as well as service provision regulations. During this speciality studies, students learn to construct unmanned aerial vehicles with respect to their possible application in agriculture, state boarder safety, photo geometry, and other areas.
