To enable people to resolve conflicts creatively and without violence. To help people to manage their anger effectively. To help people to see the other point of view. To help people to enjoy belonging to a community, to have fun and to develop trust. Suitable for: Anybody aged 18 or over. Professional people, people with mental health problems, those involved with the criminal justice system, victims and perpetrators of domestic violence
About this course
No academic requirements. Low skills in literacy acceptable.
Must be able to attend all sessions ( typically Friday evening, and most of Saturday and Sunday in a single weekend)

Course review:
- Informal workshop setting, working all together and in small groups.
- We affirm the strong points in ourselves and each other to build up self esteem, confidence and assertive behaviour.
- We take a look at physical, verbal and emotional violence, and at the causes of violence.
- We develop communication skills with lots of explaining and listening.
- We look at the sort of language which leads to resolving arguments peacefully and constructively.
- We try to see both sides of any argument.
- We have a lot of fun along the way, with frequent breaks.
- At the end of each workshop, most participants feel a real sense of belonging to a small community.
