Course programme

ENTRY LEVEL 1 AND 2

  • Create a piece of craft or design
ENTRY LEVEL 3
  • 20 hours / 3 days
  • Making an art or craft product
At entry level, the quality of the you final craft piece(s) determines whether you will achieve Entry Level 1, 2 or 3. This qualification is focused on producing an outcome, be it a piece of jewellery, a comic book, a cushion etc.

  • 80 hours / 8 - 10 days

LEVEL 2
  • 70 hours / 8 - 10 days
  • Use materials, tools and equipment to develop craft techniques

At Level 1 and 2, you will create a sketchbook and electronic portfolio of your design process, and the qualification culminates in a presentation evening, or exhibition, of your work, open to guests. You can specialise in a specific area, for example, textiles, construction, art and design etc, or they follow a more generic pathway incorporating a range of crafts.
