About this course

There are no formal entry requirements. However, due to the assessments required, candidates should have reasonable literacy and numeracy skills. Candidates also need a specialist subject. Funded PTLLS Course requires candidates to pass a numeracy and literacy level 1 test.

Diana holds a Certificate of Education and is also the NVQ A1 Assessors Award. Diana also is a qualified Driving Instructor and holds the highest grade possible for instructor techniques. She is also Ordit and Fleet qualified, and has many years of training experience within the driving sector.

Course programme

In order to successfully complete the PTLLS Course you will need to:

Attend all sessions

Complete all assignments

Complete a reflective practice journal

Deliver a 15min micro teach

The PTLLS Course has 5 components or Learning Outcomes

Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching.

Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area.

Demonstrate session planning skills.

Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.

Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping.

Each of these are broken down into a number of assessments for which you will need to provide evidence. Much of the evidence will be generated by the activities you will complete as part of the course.

You will also need to complete a number of assignments in order to meet the assessment criteria, you will be given structured guidelines to help you with these assignments.
