Course Aims:
To enable the learner to explore careers in early years by understanding how children learn through play and how to apply for a job, placement or training course in early years.
Course Content:
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
* Understand how children learn through play in child care settings
* Know about parental involvement in child care settings
* Understand about child development and behaviour
* Know how to work as a member of a team in a child care setting
* Be able to apply for a job, placement or training course in early years
Progression:
Learners will be able to progress onto the level 2 qualifications in health and social care and/or children's learning and development
