This course is for anyone wishing to enhance their practical skills in MMA (manual metal arc/Stick) welding to a very high, recognised standard. This course is designed to ensure you have the practical welding ability high enough to successfully pass a coded welding test and/or gain employment within a highly skilled and paid profession.

About this course

You will need to have a Level 2 welding qualification in MMA welding or industrial experience. A practical welding assessment may be needed.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

You will study a number of different topics including health and safety within the welding environment and the safe operation of the MMA welding equipment. You will practically train to complete five highly skilled weld assessments.

Additional information

The course runs from September till March where you will attend college one night a week for 24 weeks. You will complete five practical weld tests and an online examination at the end of the course.
