Aztec Health has been established to provide CPD Training for Dentists, Dental Assistants, Hygienists, Nurses and Therapists.

Dentists do root canals, we do relaxation, and we do it well.

There are 5.5 million people, who suffer from a dental phobia according to the Adult Dental Health Survey undertaken by Oral Health in the United Kingdom, and many dentists and their assistants recognise them the second they arrive in the waiting room. There is however a professional and established solution, which is fast and inexpensive.

Members of the Dentistry profession have joined a team of Clinical Hypnotherapists to establish Aztec Health. The objectives of the organisation are very clear, to supply CPD training for Dentists, Hygienists and Dental Assistants, focused on the brief use of Hypnotherapy within the busy dental practice. The training includes the use of a 'Dental Specific' CD, also available as an MP3 or audio file, that the patient can use at home prior to the treatment, in the waiting room and when appropriate during the dental treatment.

Research shows that nervous patients often require additional surgery time in what is usually an already very busy practice and also that relaxed patients tend to equate to a less stressed dental team, able to offer an enhanced patient experience.

At Aztec Health we appreciate that dentists do not want to be Hypnotherapists, the many dentists we have interviewed stated that they favoured inexpensive, time efficient CPD training incorporating a device that will become an asset to their practice the very next day. That was the starting brief and this is what Aztec Health have formulated.
Aztec Health will be running a one-day (6 hour) training module for dental professionals including hygienists, nurses and dental assistants across the United Kingdom during 2011. The course has been formulated to ensure that delegates leave with a useful, new skill set, that can be introduced in to their practice immediately.

The number of delegates attending each course will be limited to just 40 to ensure that each delegate obtains the maximum benefits from their time/cost investment. The cost of the Aztec Health training module is £175 inclusive of refreshments, lunch, extensive training manual. Additionally, each delegate will be presented with 15 Dreamweaver client CD's (retail value £149.00), that they can use with patients the very next day, providing an immediate return on their financial investment.

As a post qualification education provider Aztec Health meets the requirements and objectives of CPD training. To this end the day will be constructed to ensure that it achieves:

Concise educational aims and objectives
Clear anticipated outcomes
A quality control mechanism, whereby the dental professional attending have the opportunity to give feedback for continual development and improvement.

For the purpose of incorporating the training module into their CPD delegates will additionally be presented with a training certificate meeting the General Dental Council's criteria for verifiable CPD.
