Emagister offers you a new course perfect for health care assistants and nurses: the B12 Injections Training, endorsed by Annie Barr International.
This training course provides delegates with an understanding of B12 deficiency and pernicious anaemia and the skills required to give B12 injections.
You will follow a B12 Injections Patient Specific Direction Protocol and a competence-based framework to work towards competence in giving B12 injections in their place of work under the supervision of a mentor. This is a one-day course: you arrive at the venue for registration at 9.30am and the training will take place from 10.00am - 4.00pm.
This B12 injection training has a recommendation rate of over 98% and is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners. On completion, you will receive a certificate of attendance and 6 CPD points.
All Annie Barr Associates clinical courses are led by trainers who are qualified healthcare professionals with a wealth of clinical and teaching experience. Non-clinical courses are delivered by suitably qualified and experienced professionals who are experts on the subject matter.
If you are interested in learning more don’t hesitate to contact Annie Barr International through Emagister.co.uk.

About this course
- Fully understand the principles and practice relating to B12 deficiency and B12 injections
- Understand the safety issues related to giving injections of the general adult population
- Understand the law relating to practice, accountability and prescribing

Delegates will be provided with a competence-based framework and materials to take back to their place of work, however will not be signed off as competent in the training session. This course is Accredited by One Awards (NOCN). An accredited certificate is available at a cost of £25
The course covers B12 deficiency, pernicious anaemia, diagnosis, treatment and management. It also covers sign and symptoms of anaemia. You will review inclusion and exclusion criteria and identification of appropriate patients. Delegates will get the opportunity to review practice with hands on practical demonstrations of how to give injections correctly. It also covers administration techniques, where to give the injections and record keeping / documentation.
