Year 1
In Year 1 you will study both of your combined honours subjects equally. You will be introduced to the theory and practice of coaching and sports development .The core units are listed in the drop-down box below.

Year 2
In Year 2 you may choose to continue with equal study or choose a major/minor route. The units you will study depend on the route you have chosen. In Sport Development you will enhance your knowledge, understanding and skills in the more specialised aspects of sports development. In Business you will develop your knowledge and skills to enable you to deal with practical problems including marketing concepts and planning, and managing in organisations.

Year 3
In Year 3 you may continue with an equal study or major/minor route or you may choose a named route study, taking all of your final year units in one subject. The key ethos of Sport Development this year is to make a positive difference to the industry by providing you with the skills of critical analysis, synthesis, problem solving and evaluation. In Business you will focus on strategic approach to business strategy, developing diagnostic techniques appropriate to the complexities of organisational life including managing in a knowledge economy, and strategic management.
