Course Content

Year 1

BA (Hons) Hospitality Business Management covers a full range of managerial disciplines required by the modern day Hospitality Industry. In your first year you will study a range of management and hospitality industry units. The Hospitality Operations unit combines academic theory with your real life experiences in the workplace offered during the course.

Year 2

In Year 2 many of the operational skills and knowledge introduced during year one will be further developed towards an understanding at supervisory/management level.

Year 3

During year 3 of this degree you have the option of spending a year on placement within the hospitality industry gaining valuable experience to kick start your career.

Year 4

The final year includes studies in Hotel Operations Tactics & Strategy (HOTS), a unique dynamic training and development experience for industry. HOTS is based around a realistic computer exercise that simulates the management of a service business.

You will also complete your 10,000 word dissertation project, which involves undertaking a substantial piece of independent research into a topic of your choice, working closely with your academic supervisor.
