Course programme
The first year of the BA Honours course provides a strong focus on the core subjects of the curriculum. Working in small groups, you are introduced to innovative classroom practice supported by experienced specialist staff. In addition you are able to choose a subject specialism which you follow throughout the programme.
Year 2Year 2 develops your subject knowledge, extending to the wider curriculum, which includes: Special Education Needs, Inclusion and Behaviour Management.
Year 3The final year enables you to personalise your study through a research project guided by a tutor with relevant subject expertise. You also learn about the professional roles and responsibilities of a primary teacher.
Each year includes an extensive block of school experience. In the first two years you will be in supportive paired placements with another student teacher. You are placed in our carefully selected Primary Partnership schools, where you receive excellent support.
