Year 1
The first year is a qualifying year its purpose is to prepare you for further study in your chosen degree route in the second and third years. We aim to ensure that, irrespective of their previous academic and practical experience, all students will finish the year with a solid basic level of knowledge, understanding and skills. In Year One, students also develop inter-personal skills as part of the process of becoming effective independent learners. A significant benefit of the common first year is that on its successful completion, students can be considered for the alternative routes in the department if they so wish.
-
