  • Year 1

    In Year 1 you will study both of your combined honours subjects equally. In Sport you will focus on systems physiology, anatomy, sociology, psychology and games concepts. In Psychology you will study research methods and ethics in practice and explore how psychological theory informs our everyday life.

  • Year 2

    In Year 2 you can choose to continue with equal study or choose a major/minor route. The units you will study depend on the route you have chosen. Psychology includes modules required by the British Psychological Society. In Sport you can focus on biomechanics, exercise physiology, sociology, psychology and individual practical activities.

  • Year 3

    In Year 3 you may continue with an equal study or major/minor route or you may choose a named route study, taking all of your final year units in one subject. In Sport the Year 3 units are designed to apply the knowledge and understanding that you have gained in the first two years to a variety of sport situations. In Psychology you can undertake a psychology project, and select options from a range that may include cognitive neuroscience, self and identity,educational psychology, forensic psychology, clinical psychology and counselling.
