Our BSc Economics and Mathematics course takes core components of economics and blends these with modules that cover those aspects of mathematics that are most relevant for economists.

You’ll study the economic behaviour of economic agents such as individuals, firms and governments, and gain the mathematical and statistical tools needed to tackle the most challenging economic problems.

Our BSc in Economics and Mathematics provides you with high-level mathematics and statistics skills that are essential for many data driven and analytics jobs and further study.

Applicants taking an A-level science subject with the Science Practical Endorsement are required to pass the practical element.

Please note: A-level General Studies and A-level Critical Thinking are not accepted.

GCSE or equivalent: English Language at Grade C(4) and Mathematics at Grade A (7) (or equivalent). Applicants must have achieved these grades at the time of making their application.

BSc (Hons) - Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA)
This programme will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught masters degrees.
