About this course

Students will develop in-depth knowledge about how global and local businesses work, which includes international management strategy, financial management, business ethics, supply chain, and marketing among others. The program aims to develop all-around specialised and generic skills in the students to boost their career in the international market.
The BA in Global Business provides students with knowledge about a variety of related subjects, which gives them the opportunity to choose their own career path. They not only assist in professional development but also motivate them to take up further education.

A Higher National Diploma in Business from a recognized awarding body or High School with relevant work experience
3 years of work experience of which, minimum of 1 year to be demonstrated at an executive level

Global Business Strategy
  • This course will develop an understanding and application of strategic management process involving analysis of strategic position against the backdrop of external environment influences and competitive forces; evaluation of strategic choices and implementing strategic actions by use of business processes, change management, effective ICT, and other models within the financial and other constraints; developing skills and abilities of strategic leaders in furthering their role in creating sustainable organisations; techniques of successfully managing the strategic process.
Corporate Social Responsibility & International Management
  • This course aims to develop an understanding and application of the nature of ethics and its application to society, the need for a framework of laws, regulations, and standards in business, interaction of corporate governance and business ethics, the role of Corporate Social Responsibility in modern businesses.
Supply Chain Management & International Marketing
  • This module examines the tools and concepts of operations management to deliver sustainable performance; the management of supply chain relationships; the value of information systems in organisations and options for information technology system design; application of elements of the marketing mix, social media the impact on organisations.
Business Research
  • The module aims to engage students to identify a research question and to design and develop a research method to investigate this question presenting results in an academic research project format.
Business Development Project
  • The students must undertake independent research on an area of interest relevant to the BA in Global Business and prepare a project of approximately 7,000 words. The module requires students to apply research, critically evaluate and review the research information and make appropriate recommendations.
