The BA (Hons) Childhood, Youth and Family Studies aims to enable individuals to develop their professional skills and knowledge in their chosen discipline. Applications are welcome from individuals working in diverse roles across the Children s Workforce, for example in schools, nurseries, youth/play work, residential care, health and social environments, specialist or alternative provision, inclusion/behavioural/SEN support teams and family support. Please note: this is not an exhaustive list and applications are encouraged from any individual working with children and/or young people from birth to 18 years. Applicants may already be employed in the sector or could opt to engage in an appropriate voluntary placement of 70 hours.

You should hold a level 5 qualification in a related subject.Assessment methods:Student s competence will be assessed using a diverse range of methods. Students will be expected to submit formal written responses and will also be supported to engage in presentations, research projects, individual and group activities and case studies.
