You'll study economic principles and develop the skills to apply them to the activities of organisations in both the public and private sectors. The skills and techniques you’ll gain will be transferable to any aspect of business, including time management, project management, communication, collection and management of data, and IT skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to put theory into practice with an optional six month work placement. This will provide you with a valuable insight into the workings of the economics world, and may result in contacts which lead to employment opportunities upon graduation.
