The world of post production is rich and very diverse, and this course opens opportunities to launch a career as an editor, grader, or visual effects artist. You could end up working in feature films, television or the full spectrum of online media.

Entry requirements
Students will normally be expected to possess five GCSEs (grade C/level 4 or above) or equivalent (including English) and also to hold at least one of the below or equivalent UK or international qualifications.

Course programme
What your course will look like
Assessment
You will be continually assessed through preparation of written and practical project work. Assessment in the final year is through dissertation and portfolio.
Year 1
You will build your knowledge in post-production and broadcast technology. Alongside this, you will learn about communication, visualisation and the post-production industry. We encourage you to start thinking about your contextual studies research throughout this year.
Year 2
You will study the craft of editing, technical workflow and online processes. You will develop your ideas and entrepreneurial skills and spend time in industry gaining key experience in post-production and working in collaboration with other students.
Year 3
You will study further high-end professional skills and build a final major project portfolio of your work, ready for industry. We ask you to show your contextual studies research in a long form dissertation.
Progression
Successful completion of this course can lead to postgraduate study in MA Moving Image and MA Visual Effects.
