This Honours Degree is a one year top-up programme that has been designed as a progression route for those who have achieved Foundation Degree Hospitality Management, HND/HNC in Hospitality or who have relevant alternative qualifications or experience.
The course is validated by Thames Valley University and is an extension to our very successful Foundation Degree in Hospitality Management.
This is a one year programme, based on 2 days of study a week for 34 weeks. This is supported by electronic distance learning materials. A considerable amount of independent research and study will be needed for successful completion of the programme.
Achieving an Honours Degree will give graduates numerous employment opportunities in the exciting and growing world of hospitality. Progression within employment to middle and senior management posts will be enhanced by the knowledge, skills and qualification gained within the programme.

What the course will cover The course covers a wide range of hospitality and strategic management subjects. The 6 modules include:

· Ethics
· Strategic IT for Hospitality
· Strategic Hospitality Management
· Global Marketing
· Hospitality Consultancy
· Dissertation

Assessment The programme is assignment based and includes reports, projects, presentations, essays and case studies. The dissertation module involves completing a major research project. Applicants will be assessed on their motivation and ability to study at a higher level. Accreditation of prior learning and experience will also be considered. Applicants with English as their second language will be expected to have an IELTS score of at least 6.

Fees The fees are £2,475 for UK and EU students. If study wish to study on a modular basis the fee is £425 per module (there are six modules). The fee is £1,270 per module for non EU students (there are six modules).
