Course introduction: This advanced entry course brings together two complementary areas of study – Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organisational Psychology. This will enable you to more fully understand the social and psychological processes operating in organisations and to develop ways of improving them through the application of the systems used in the specialist HRM field.

As this is an advanced entry programme, applicants are required to have undertaken previous study at a higher level, equivalent to 2 years of a degree programme, or HND. This must include the relevant subject areas which underpin both HRM and Organisational Psychology areas of study. Course programme

The course is designed to build on your previously acquired knowledge and skills, allowing advanced entry into Year 3 of a degree programme. The principal aims are: to provide you with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of issues influencing the effective delivery of HRM and management processes underpinned by Organisational Psychology to integrate your learning into an analytical, problem-solving, creative approach in relation to the challenges and changes facing the HRM function and the general management of people at work to develop your employability and transferable skills in independent thinking and reflective learning which will enable you to develop an existing career and contribute effectively in a business situation This is a full-time course studied over one year.
