The objectives of this Program are to provide students with an outstanding education in the humanities, social sciences and languages. The degree is designed to enable a graduate to demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of selected fields of study.
After Graduation there are many scopes for the Individuals to make their career in English language Teacher in schools, Journalist and Script writer in newspapers and magazines,theatre, Radio, television and film writing and production, Content writer in advertising and Public Relation agencies, Researcher in interdisciplinary areas such as mass communication, language, cultural studies, comparative literature and other fields, Books and Novels Writer for publishing, In field of translation, interpretation, advertising and corporate communication and so on.
First Year- You Can Find 6 Subjects- 1.Tamil [Or] Any one of the other Languages (Tamil/ Telugu/ Kannada/ Malayalam/ urdu/ French/ Hindi/ English), 2.Foundation in English, 3.Social History of England, 4.Age of Chaucer, 5.Restoration Age, 6.Modern India Writing in English(Ancillary). Second Year- You Can Find 6 Subjects- 1.Tamil [Or] Any one of the Other Languages, 2.Foundation in English, 3.William Shakespeare, 4.Romantic Age, 5.Introduction to Journalism and Mass Communication (Ancillary), 6.Environmental Studies. Third Year- You Can Find 5 Subjects- 1.Victorian Age, 2.Modern English Literature, 3.American Literature, 4.Introduction to Literary Criticism and Theories, 5.Introduction to Language and Linguistics.
