About this course

Subjects

For each 8 point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.

If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.

As a Charles Sturt University student, throughout your course you have a responsibility to continue to develop skills in English language, literacy and numeracy as appropriate to your discipline. This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.

Bachelor of Arts (with specialisations) Articulated Set

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.

Associate Degree in Arts [Exit Point Only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.

Diploma of Arts [Exit Point Only]

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.Full subject list
BACHELOR OF ARTS (WITH SPECIALISATIONS)

The course consists of the following requirements, all students must complete one (1) specialisation and one (1) minor:


seven (7) core subjects (56 points)

eight (8) Specialisation subjects (64 points) - List A

four (4) minor subjects - List B

six (6) transferable skills subjects (12 points) - from List C

three (3) work integrated learning subjects (20 points) - (one-4 point subject plus two (2) 8 point subjects) from List D

and one capstone subject (8 points)


Subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated.

 

BACHELOR OF ARTS (HUMANITIES PATHWAY TO TEACHING) ** SPECIALISATION ONLY:
Seven (7) core first year subjects (56 points).

One (1) work integrated learning subject (HSS100 ) (4 points).
