In the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) you will choose a major and a minor teaching area depending on your desired career outcome. A good background in your selected teaching areas at Year 12 level (or equivalent) is strongly recommended.

Real-world learning
QUT organises professional experience (field experience) placements to give you the opportunity to work in real school classrooms, supervised by practising professional educators. You may also have the opportunity to participate in additional learning experiences that are unique to QUT. Recently, a group of our students travelled to Vietnam and worked with local primary schools to deliver HPE classes and nutritional information to local students.
