Course programme

Structure and assessment Program Structure

You are required to complete 27 units throughout the course, including eight core medical science units in the first year, and 20 specialist units in the final three years.The 6 units in the fourth year are postgraduate level units.

This course is intensive due to the theoretical and clinical requirements of the accrediting professional body. Most of the clinical periods extend beyond the limits of the normal term.

Work integrated Learning

You will be prepared for 55 weeks of clinical placement, Australia wide, at private and public hospitals and clinics, large and small. Placements are organised through CQUniversity with our range of placement partners and are supported by academic and support staff. You may be required to complete clinical placements outside of your area of residence.
