The Bachelor of Politics Philosophy and Economics (Honours) degree exemplifies the ANU commitment to research-led education. Building on the Bachelor of Politics Philosophy and Economics, it gives you high-level preparation for professional life or a higher degree by research. You will develop an advanced knowledge of research principles, methods and theoretical concepts of politics, philosophy and economics, and design and implement a research project, namely a 20,000 word thesis, that leads to the development of new understandings or that provides solutions to complex problems.

An AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Politics Philosophy and Economics from the ANU, or equivalent from another institution, completed within the last two years:with a weighted average mark equivalent to an ANU 70 per cent calculated from the 36 units (i.e. 0.75 EFTSL), excluding 1000-level courses (i.e. introductory undergraduate courses), with the highest marks, which must include 18 units from PHIL2116 and ECON3056 and one of the following: ECON2141, POLS2125 or POLS2130 .Written approval of an identified supervisor for the research project/thesisand the satisfaction of any further...
